A small city with post-war roots
Lomita, from the Spanish for “little hills,” began developing around 1907 to 1909 and grew quickly after World War II. The city incorporated in 1964 to keep its small-town character, and today about 21,000 residents live in under two square miles. Many homes are mid-century single-family houses that are now on their second or third repaint.
What older homes usually need
On homes of this era, we often find weathered fascia and trim, hairline stucco cracks and multiple old paint layers. Repairing and priming those areas first is what keeps a new finish from failing early.
